Intelligently informing passengers

Working with Dietz Joppien Architekten, unit-design has developed a system for displaying train information at stations for DB Station&Service. The assignment was to design a system that allowed for a wide variety of mounting options – both suspended and free-standing. The design process gave rise to a number of innovative solutions for installation and ease of access for maintenance. The extraordinarily slim shape of the new generation of train information displays reflects brand values of Deutsche Bahn such as innovation, technical expertise and a forward-looking approach. The design served as the basis for the tender process. 

The design and underlying technology of the new train information displays have enabled the client, Deutsche Bahn, to expand upon and improve the information provided to passengers.
