Weather center

Every year, around 30,000 people visit the Offenbach Weather Park, from amateur and professional meteorologists to families with children and school groups.
In 2015, the park gained another attraction in the form of the visitor center designed by Meixner Schlüter Wendt Architekten, which resembles a research station thanks to its zinc-plate cladding.

Inside is an exhibition created by unit-design, which is aimed at all ages and provides further details on information already conveyed elsewhere in the park. Numerous interactive digital and analog installations offer fascinating insights into the world of the weather.

The themed stations have been planned as individual modules, some of them mobile, which enable the exhibition space to be used as flexibly as possible. Large spatial graphics and a ceiling projection suggest various weather conditions.

School groups visiting the weather park can talk about what they have learned and find out more in the "green classroom" at the rear of the building.
