The point of origin for this project is the urban environment of ’science city’ and the subject of science itself – both in a constant state of flux. An extensive analysis of the movements and structural characteristics (interspaces) using the master plan culminates in an orientation concept that links the spatial (urban routing system) with the contextual (communication system). The design concept is based on a stringent analysis of the two design worlds, from which three types of illustration have emerged:
– Content Mapping
– Mental Mapping
– Facility Mapping
The naming concept holds key significance for the project and is intended to be a reminder of the heterogeneity and denomination diversity of developed cities.
